The Good Ground Project
The mission of The Good Ground Project is to introduce young people to entrepreneurship. This is done by introducing them to the entrepreneurs and leaders of today who can and will speak to them from experience about entrepreneurship. The Partners of the Project share their thoughts and offer advice in The Partner Profiles area. The Good Ground Project aims to show young people that entrepreneurship is a real and attractive option that they should consider.

To me, entrepreneurship means understanding what consumers want, finding creative solutions to meet that need and working hard to effectively deliver that service or product.  It requires a good work ethic, working well with others and having the passion to believe in yourself and your goals.  Entrepreneurs are always looking at how things can be done differently, to improve on the status quo and are never complacent.  They need to have strategic vision in their business, but also feel comfortable pulling up their sleeves and working with their team to get the job done.

The most important lesson that I’ve learned is there is never a time in your life where one has stopped learning.  At whatever point in one’s career there is always more to understand and perfect.  One can never think they’ve mastered it all as the marketplace is always changing.  To stop learning is to limit your possibilities and growth.

I want to encourage you to find your passion and think about how your skills and ideas can contribute to society.  If you are creating products or services that people value and love, or contributing to a company that can help them grow you will always be rewarded for that effort.  And if you are passionate about that work, the outcome of that work will always be of great quality because you are internally driven to bring out the best in yourself.
